Environment: Group Plans Valley-Ocean Trail
A Topanga-based group has announced an effort to establish the first continuous trail system between the San Fernando Valley and the Pacific Ocean.
Deborah Stern, president of the nonprofit Santa Maria Trails and Parks Assn., said the group’s goal is to help develop a trail for hikers and horseback riders across the Santa Monica Mountains from the Valley to Topanga State Beach.
