Police Identify Man Shot in San Clemente Dispute
SAN CLEMENTE — Authorities have identified the victim of a shooting during a neighborhood dispute Friday as William Wallace Jolley, 32.
Jolley, who was shot through the abdomen, was in serious condition following surgery at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center. His 10-year-old son, whose finger was wounded in the shooting, spent the night at Samaritan Medical Center-San Clemente, Orange County sheriff’s officials said.
Deputies arrested Jolley’s next door neighbor, Arthur Harry Triebel, 39, on suspicion of attempted murder.
Witnesses told deputies that the incident began with an argument involving four members of Jolley’s family in the driveway of Triebel’s home in the 200 block of West Escalones. Triebel attempted to intervene and began shooting a semiautomatic pistol, authorities said.
