PALOS VERDES PENINSULA : Conservancy to Poll Residents on Land Use
- Share via
The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy will survey area residents on whether the last pieces of undeveloped land on the peninsula should be developed or left open.
In conducting the survey, the nonprofit group is taking a cue from Laguna Beach citizens groups, which blocked residential development on vacant land.
They hired consultant Paul Freeman, who conducted a similar survey in Laguna three years ago that showed strong support for preserving part of Laguna Canyon by buying the land from the Irvine Co. Voters then approved a city ballot measure to buy the land with government funds.
The Palos Verdes Peninsula survey will be done by telephone beginning Saturday.
