First American Financial Corp., a leading title company, announced Tuesday that its real estate tax reporting subsidiary has changed its name to First American Real Estate Information Services Inc.
The new name, effective immediately, is designed to better reflect the range of services offered by the former First American Real Estate Tax Service Inc. The company provides real estate tax reports as well as credit reporting and tax certification services.
“This subsidiary has experienced phenomenal growth over the past few years, both through acquisition and internal growth,” said Parker S. Kennedy, president of Santa Ana-based First American Financial.
Besides title insurance, First American provides various real estate services, including home warranty, credit reporting and property information services to buyers and mortgage lenders. It has a network of more than 300 offices and 4,000 agents in the United States.
