Trump Says He Won’t Buy Vegas Casino: Developer Donald Trump said he has changed his mind about buying the Aladdin Hotel to enter the Las Vegas gaming market. “The number we were discussing was $51 million, but we thought that was a high number,” he said. “We have no interest in the Aladdin.” A top Trump executive, Dennis Gomes, said earlier this month that Trump was on the verge of buying the casino. Another Trump source had told Associated Press that Trump had made a verbal agreement with the hotel’s owner to buy it for $65 million. Trump denied that. The owner, Bell Atlantic-Tricon Leasing Corp., said the casino will be sold through a sealed-bid auction.
