Until last Wednesday, Ream had never experienced a victory over Brethren Christian in three years as a starter. Ream had 28 points and 13 rebounds as the Heralds won, 58-47, and broke the Warriors’ 24-game Olympic League winning streak. Friday, Ream, 6 feet 7, had 14 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in a 53-51 victory over Cerritos Valley Christian. His play down the stretch clinched the victory. He made a breakaway dunk with 30 seconds left to give the Heralds a one-point lead and made a free throw with seven seconds left for the extra cushion.

* Rich Anderson, Kennedy, averaged 21.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in Garden Grove League victories over Santiago and Los Amigos.
* Adam Bloomfield, Marina, scored two goals to help the No. 6 Vikings to a 3-0 victory over top-ranked Edison.
* Ryan Karnoff, Trabuco Hills, averaged 23.5 points in a Pacific Coast League victory over Century and a nonleague victory over Capistrano Valley.
* David Wells, El Modena, pinned Calvary Chapel’s Joe Pierson in 34 seconds at 140 pounds in the Vanguards’ 45-12 loss.
