Vote for Reform

* Thank you for Bill Mitchell’s column (“Trial Illustrates Need for Campaign Reform,” Dec. 17). It was instructive and illuminating, and an excellent follow-up to the news articles and your own editorials on the subject of campaign finance reform.
When the public finally realizes how much taxpayer money is wasted by a legislative system that cannot break the gridlock created by all the lobbyists’ money, public financing of all campaigns will be an obvious bargain.
The best government money can buy is simply too expensive for us to afford anymore.
