The Washington Redskins are interested in Dallas offensive coordinator Norv Turner as their new coach, but NFL rules prohibit them from talking to Turner until the Cowboys have been eliminated from the playoffs. . . . Houston defensive coordinator Buddy Ryan said he is interested in either of the coaching vacancies at Washington or Atlanta. . . . Detroit running back Barry Sanders, who sprained his left knee in a Thanksgiving Day loss to the Chicago Bears, practiced for the first time Wednesday and might start Saturday when the Lions play host to Green Bay in a first-round NFC playoff game.
