SEASON AT A GLANCE: Hotchkiss has been the catalyst for a talented Raider squad that won 10 of its first 12 games. The 5-foot-7 guard was named to the all-tournament team in the Alemany and Gold Coast tournaments, and she leads the Raiders in scoring (14 points a game), steals (2.1) and field-goal percentage (49%).
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Hotchkiss was named most valuable player of last week’s Thousand Oaks tournament, won by Channel Islands. She averaged 15 points in the four victories, and had 16 points and eight rebounds in the championship game against Thousand Oaks. “She’s doing a lot better than last year,” Coach Don Salado said. “Her all-around play and her attitude have really improved.”
