Chiat/Day Wins Quaker State Account: The Venice advertising agency picked up $17 million in additional ad business from the Oil City, Pa.-based motor oil giant that has been handled since 1986 by New York-based Grey Advertising. Chiat/Day already handles the $8-million account for Quaker State Corp.’s Minit-Lubesubsidiary. The new campaign is expected to premiere in the first quarter of 1994, said Robert Cohen, executive vice president of marketing at Quaker State. Chiat/Day is expected to add to staff as a result of the additional business, but executives at the agency did not return calls to confirm that.
