From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Trustees of The Citadel in Charleston, S.C., voted to ask a full federal appeals court to reconsider a ruling that a woman may attend day classes at the all-male, state military college. The Citadel will ask the 13-judge U.S. 4th Circuit Court of Appeals to take up a decision by a three-judge panel that Shannon Faulkner may attend while her lawsuit proceeds. The 151-year-old school allows women in night and summer classes.
