A documentary exhibit that examines “Ritual and Sacrifice at Tailhook ‘91” will open this week at the Women’s Center, Cal State Dominguez Hills.
The exhibit will depict the events of the notorious 1991 convention of fighter pilots in Las Vegas. It includes displays of text from the Department of Defense’s investigative report and T-shirts bearing misogynist statements that were worn by aviators at the convention.
The exhibit was assembled by Pomona College art historian Frances Pohl.
Opening reception is 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Exhibit hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, and noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. The university is at 1000 E. Victoria St., Carson. Information: (310) 516-4486.
