Unemployment Rate Drops: The nation’s jobless rate in September fell to a seasonally adjusted 10.9% from 11.1% in August, the government reported. The decline was in line with expectations. The number of people employed in September rose by 45,100, after dropping 5,500 in August, the Bureau of Statistics said.
