Dreams of Home Sales: Mario Antoci, chairman and chief executive of Irvine-based American Savings Bank, has been selected to head a coalition of lenders, realtors, building trade groups and government agencies that has been pulled together to help persuade California residents that this is a great time to buy homes.
With a name right up there with mom and apple pie, the American Dream Coalition wants to “give Californians the information they need to act on their desire to buy in a buyers’ market,” Antoci said.
A toll-free telephone number, (800) 500-FIND, was established in July so consumers can call for information about the home-buying process. And Antoci’s group is now preparing an advertising campaign aimed at the spring, 1994, home-buying season.
