Studios: Can William Koch bag a lion that doesn’t want to be caught? After sniffing around the cage, the millionaire computer executive on Monday publicly declared his interest in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., saying he plans to buy all or part of the venerable studio “unless I find some snakes in the woodpile.” But Credit Lyonnais, the French bank that owns Santa Monica-based MGM, insists it will rebuild the studio before it entertains offers. Koch, who bankrolled the last America’s Cup sailing victory, said he has retained as an adviser Jeffrey Berg, chairman of the International Creative Management talent agency.
