COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Santa Clara Knocks Off No. 3 Titans in Soccer

Cal State Fullerton, ranked third in the nation in men’s soccer, was beaten by Santa Clara, 2-1, Friday in the St. Mary’s Tournament.
Santa Clara (4-1-1) took a 2-0 lead in the first half on goals by Jason Abbicchero and Joe Cullan. Mark Vaught scored in the second half for Fullerton (6-1). Fullerton got 11 shots but Santa Clara goalie Peter Zaratin needed to make only one save.
In nonconference women’s soccer:
Pacific 3, Southern California College 0--After a scoreless first half, visiting Pacific scored three times in the second half. SCC fell to 0-9.
