Sherman Oaks attorney Michael Narvid has been reappointed to the Countywide Citizens Planning Council by Los Angeles County Supervisor Ed Edelman.
Narvid, of Narvid, Glickman Scott & Frangie, is one of about 50 formal members and 20 active members of the council. Members’ terms are three years.
The purpose of the council is to offer advice on land-use matters relating to the county general plan to the county Planning Department and county Board of Supervisors.
Narvid, who lives in Hidden Hills, said the council deals with issues such as housing density, transportation problems and airport planning.
“It can be very powerful,” Narvid said. “It brings people from all over the county into one room, where we discuss common problems.”
Joel Bellman, press deputy to Edelman, said Narvid was chosen because of his expertise in land-use and real-estate law.
