The Driver’s Guide To Traffic Trouble

Road closures and repair work on freeways and surface streets in and around the San Fernando Valley. Information has been provided by Caltrans and cities.

SIMI VALLEY FREEWAY (118)

* At Balboa Boulevard: Three eastbound lanes will be closed from Balboa Boulevard to Hayvenhurst Avenue, including the Balboa on-ramp, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

* At Hayvenhurst Avenue: One eastbound lane of the Hayvenhurst Avenue on-ramp will be closed Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

* At Woodley Avenue: One eastbound lane of the Woodley Avenue off-ramp will be closed Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

* At Hayvenhurst Avenue: Three eastbound lanes will be closed from Hayvenhurst Avenue to the Haskell Avenue under-crossing from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

SAN DIEGO FREEWAY (405)

* At Valley Vista Boulevard: The southbound Valley Vista Boulevard on-ramp will be closed today from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

* At the Simi Valley Freeway: The southbound connector to the westbound Simi Valley Freeway (118) and the southbound San Fernando Mission Boulevard on-ramp will be closed from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.

GLENDALE FREEWAY (2)

* At Holly Drive: The northbound Holly Drive on-ramp will be closed Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

GOLDEN STATE FREEWAY (5)

* At Lankershim Boulevard: Three southbound lanes will be closed from Lankershim Boulevard to Penrose Street, including the Lankershim off-ramp, the Tuxford Street on- and off-ramps and the Penrose on- and off-ramps, from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.

* At Sheldon Street: The southbound Sheldon Street on-ramp will be closed Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

* At Osborne Street: There will be a moving closure in each direction from Sheldon Street to Osborne Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

VENTURA FREEWAY (101)

* At the San Diego Freeway: The northbound connector to the north and southbound San Diego Freeway (405) will be closed from 6 a.m. to noon Sunday.

VENTURA FREEWAY (134)

* At the Glendale Freeway: The westbound connector to the southbound Glendale Freeway (2) will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday.

HOLLYWOOD FREEWAY (170)

* At Riverside Drive: The southbound Riverside Drive off-ramp will be closed Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

HOLLYWOOD FREEWAY (101)

* At Barham Boulevard: There will be a moving closure in both directions from Barham Boulevard to Sepulveda Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

FOOTHILL FREEWAY (210)

* At Lake Avenue: One eastbound lane will be closed from Lake Avenue to Hill Avenue, including the Lake on-ramp and the Hill on-ramp, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

* At Sunflower Avenue: The eastbound Sunflower Avenue on- and off-ramps will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

BURBANK

* At 3rd Street: Only one westbound lane will be open on Angeleno Avenue through the end of the year from 3rd Street to Glenoaks Boulevard.

PALMDALE

* At Avenue O-8: One southbound lane of Avenue O-8 will be closed indefinitely at the Antelope Valley Freeway (14), and there will be intermittent closures on Avenue O-8 from 10th Street East to 11th Street East.

* At Avenue S: There will be indefinite traffic restrictions at the Avenue S and 30th Street East intersection.

ANTELOPE VALLEY

The following streets will be closed indefinitely: 235th Street East from Avenue U to Palmdale Boulevard and Avenue S from Longview Road to 165th Street East.
