MOORPARK : Dance and Barbecue Open ‘Country Days’
The Rotary Club of Moorpark will kick off the city’s annual Country Days celebration tonight with a western dance and “Bandanna BB-Q” at Tierra Rejada Ranch in Moorpark.
The event, which will run from 5 to 11 p.m., will include games, line dancing and other events, said Linda Plaks, Rotary president-elect.
“It’s a family event,” she said. “We’ve planned it so that everybody in the family can participate and get into the swing of the country atmosphere.”
Tickets cost $6 for adults, and children 12 and under are free, Plaks said. The ranch is located at 3370 Moorpark Road.
Once inside, attendees can choose from a variety of free events and purchase a full western dinner for an additional $4. The dinner includes a tri-tip sandwich, beans, coleslaw and bread.
The city’s Country Day’s celebration culminates in the annual street fair along High Street on Oct. 2.
