Kings Can’t Catch Canucks, Lose, 6-4

PORTLAND, Ore. — Dixon Ward and Sergio Momesso scored two goals each Saturday night as the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Kings, 6-4, in an exhibition game.
Ward also got an assist on the Canucks’ go-ahead goal by Garry Valk in the second period.
Jimmy Carson and Rob Murphy scored in the second period to cut Vancouver’s lead to 4-3, but Momesso’s goal in the third gave the Canucks insurance.
The Canucks are 1-0-1, and the Kings are 0-1-1 in exhibitions.
