Cal State Northridge tight end Chris Fregeau, a senior from St. Genevieve High and Pierce College, suffered a stress fracture in his left foot during the Matadors’ 27-12 loss to Weber State and will be sidelined for three weeks. Linebacker John Herrera was named CSUN defensive player of the week after making 12 tackles against Weber State, and wide receiver David Romines, a sophomore from Simi Valley High, earned offensive honors. . . . Cal Lutheran defensive tackle Tyler Blackmore, a sophomore, suffered a broken left leg during the Kingsmen’s 10-9 victory Saturday over Azusa Pacific and is out for the season. . . . Northridge’s Aimee Stone, a junior from Thousand Oaks, was chosen most valuable player at the San Diego State ASICS Grand Prix. Stone had 56 kills, 38 digs, nine blocks and eight aces as the Matadors finished second. . . . Cyclist John Wordin of West Hills won the Lake Piru Time trial on Sunday in Santa Clarita.
