Cypress College to Exhibit ‘Eerie’ Photo View of L.A. Landmarks
CYPRESS — Photographs presenting an “eerie” view of recognizable Los Angeles landmarks will be showcased at the Cypress College Photography Gallery from Sept. 27 to Oct. 29.
The exhibit, “Metropolis,” is a series of black and white photos manipulated to “evoke emotion and a metaphorical set for an altered state of mind,” college officials said.
Exhibit creator Karl Gernot Kuehn will give a lecture on his work Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. on the second floor of the Technical Education building near the gallery. Kuehn’s work has been exhibited throughout the United States and Europe and has been published.
Photographs by other artists also will be on display.
