Man Held in Laguna Hills Bank Heist
LAGUNA HILLS — A 51-year-old man was arrested Friday on suspicion of robbing a bank here of $5,900 in cash, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.
Lacey Jave, 51, of Westminster allegedly entered the Great Western Bank, 24100 El Toro Road about 2 p.m. and gave the teller a note demanding money, Lt. Ron Wilkerson said.
After he fled with the cash, bank employees called authorities and described the suspect as a man in his 50s wearing a fake gray beard, a hat and glasses, and driving a 1980 Chevrolet Citation, Wilkerson said.
Jave was arrested on the Garden Grove Freeway, police said.
