Thomas A. Klemens has been appointed vice president and chief financial officer of both First American Financial Corp. in Santa Ana and its principal subsidiary, First American Title Insurance Co. He succeeds Jack H. Derloshon, who is retiring because of ill health, the company said. Derloshon, who has been with First American for 33 years, will continue serving on the board of directors of the title company through December. Klemens was formerly vice president and controller.
