OUTLOOK
The Seahawks open the season with a 19-game losing streak, but Donnelly, the Ocean View offensive and defensive line coach from 1990-92, looks at the situation as a challenge. “There’s only one way to go and that’s up,” he said. “We’re young and inexperienced, and we’re just trying to develop a winning attitude.” Silva, a junior, could develop into one of the better runners in the county in a run-oriented offense. Donnelly said Ocean View won’t use its old run-and-shoot this season. Strong safety Barney is the heart of the defense.
