Purse Thieves Knock Woman Down, Flee
HUNTINGTON BEACH — A 73-year-old woman suffered scrapes and bruises when two teen-agers knocked her down on the sidewalk while stealing her purse Saturday night, police reported.
Mahin Farahi of Huntington Beach told police she was walking on a sidewalk on Ellis Avenue near Huntington Street at 7 p.m. when a four-door, dark gray Honda Accord drove up.
Two teen-agers, one male, the other female, got out of the car and accosted Farahi, she told police. They pushed her down, grabbed her purse and fled in the waiting car, which was driven by a second male.
