SANTA PAULA : Woman, 84, Dies After Car Hits Pole
An 84-year-old woman died of massive head injuries Thursday after her car drifted off California 150 and crashed just north of Santa Paula, authorities said.
Helen Patton, of Valencia, was driving toward Ojai at noon when, for an unknown reason, her car left the road and struck a telephone pole, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Patton suffered head injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival at Ventura County Medical Center at 1:08 p.m.
