Detroit Verdict

As far as I can see, it is time to throw in the towel. The mobs have won. I cite the quote in your article of Aug. 24: “The two murder convictions drew a sigh of relief from Detroit officials who feared civil disturbances if the former policemen were acquitted.”
I have no idea of the guilt or innocence of these men. However, if the justice system is now engineering trials and juries are fearful that their cities will burn if they do not make the correct decision, we might as well give it all up. Law is now determined in the streets. Justice has regressed to the days of who has the most guns and can gather up the most gunslingers.
