Xerox Will Move Distribution Facility From Irvine to New Center in Cerritos
IRVINE — The Xerox Corp. has announced it will move its Irvine distribution facility to a new Western product distribution center in Los Angeles County.
Clyde F. Stauff, a broker with Seeley Co., which represented Xerox on a 10-year lease, said Xerox will consolidate both its Santa Fe Springs and Irvine operations at 18691 Jamboree Road in its new distribution center at 12889 Moore St. in Cerritos.
An estimated 35 employees in Irvine will be relocated.
The center, one of two the company has in the United States, is where all Xerox products--including copiers, printers and fax machines--are distributed to its Western region.
“It was the best building for the best price, not to mention it’s a nice place,” said Darlene Herod, a Xerox spokeswoman, adding that the new location is close to many of the workers’ homes.
She said the move will be completed by mid-November. Xerox’s lease on the 200,000-square-foot Irvine building on Jamboree Road expires Dec. 31.
