Police Name Man in Fatal Car Crash

LAKE FOREST — Police on Saturday identified a man killed while making an illegal U-turn Friday afternoon as 75-year-old Walter K. Meyn of Canoga Park.
California Highway Patrol officers said Meyn’s 1988 car was stopped on the right shoulder of the north lane of Sand Canyon Road when he tried to swing across several lanes of traffic, and the divider, to turn around. Ronnie D. Ramsey, 43, of Mission Viejo was driving north on Sand Canyon at about 35 m.p.h. and hit Meyn’s car as it crossed the road, police said.
Ramsey was unharmed in the crash.
No charges have been filed, CHP officials said.
