Kirk Presley, the first-round selection of the New York Mets in last spring’s draft and a distant relative of Elvis Presley, agreed to terms with the team. Presley, 18, is a pitcher from Tupelo, Miss. He was 15-0 as a senior in high school last season. He also played third base and hit .441. . . . The Mets also activated reliever John Franco, who was sidelined with a strain in the right rib cage.
