Clothestime Posts $3.7-Million Profit in 2nd Quarter

The Clothestime Inc., the Anaheim women’s clothing retailer, reported a $3.7-million profit, or 25 cents a share, for its second fiscal quarter, up 12% from $3.3 million, or 22 cents a share, for the comparable quarter last year.
Sales for the quarter ended July 31 increased 10% to $92.7 million from $83.9 million. For the first six months of fiscal 1993, profit rose 14% to $4.9 million, or 34 cents a share, from $4.3 million, or 29 cents a share, for the like period last year. Sales showed a 12% gain, to $171 million from $152.2 million.
