Susan Sayre Batton has been hired as the new assistant director of the Los Angeles Center for Photographic Studies, a nonprofit visual art organization downtown.
Batton, who served as an NEA Fellow at the L.A. County Museum of Art from 1990-92, most recently worked at the Honolulu Academy of Arts in Hawaii, where she designed a project for the exhibition and conservation of the center’s large print collection.
She replaces Michelle Hirschhorn, who left the organization earlier this month to pursue graduate studies in England.
