The 10 busiest homebuilding states will account for a bit more than half of the residential building permits issued in the United States this year, says U.S. Housing Markets. The 10 leaders will issue 51% of all permits, both single-family and multifamily, and the other 40 states will account for 49%. Florida will be the No. 1 homebuilder, issuing nearly 10% of the country’s total permits.
