20 Days Off for Napping

PALM BEACH, Fla. — An air traffic controller who fell asleep on the job, forcing a jetliner to land without guidance, has been suspended without pay for 20 days. Rodney Tatum’s suspension, ordered by the Federal Aviation Administration, is set to begin Aug. 26. A spokesman for the National Air Traffic Controllers Assn. said an appeal is likely.
