COMMERCE : City to Celebrate Rail Station Opening
City officials will mark Wednesday’s opening of the city’s first commuter rail station with a train exhibit and the dedication of an Amtrak rail car named after the city.
The station at 6344 26th St. will be part of Amtrak’s San Diegan service from San Diego to Downtown Los Angeles. The $600,000 project was funded by the city and the Commerce Redevelopment Agency.
