Only the Clippers could wait two months to name a new coach with an NBA won-lost record of 183-227.
Unfortunately, it makes Clipper sense.

Does Elgin Baylor have any real decision-making authority with the Clippers?
Is Elgin simply being used for name recognition by the Clippers?
If he has no real authority, why does a man of his stature and character stay with them?
Perhaps his salary is simply too much to turn down. Less character, greater lifestyle.
