Fisher May Have Talked to FBI Without a Lawyer

The lawyer for Christopher David Fisher, whom authorities have identified as the leader of a white supremacist band of youths known as the Fourth Reich Skinheads, said Thursday that she has been told that her client gave a statement to FBI agents after he was arrested but before she was appointed by the court.
“The government has indicated that my client said certain things,” said Anna Ho, the lawyer representing Fisher. “I don’t know that for a fact because I have not seen what they have.”
Fisher, 20, of Long Beach was arrested last week. He has been charged with federal weapons offenses and with the Feb. 12 bombing of a home belonging to a Lakewood high school student. Fisher, who is expected to be indicted next week, also is accused of conspiring with other Fourth Reich Skinheads to bomb the First African Methodist Episcopal Church and to kill Rodney G. King.
Fisher appeared in court Wednesday and spoke briefly with Ho before a session to determine whether he should be eligible for bail. Ho declined to say whether they discussed his statements to authorities, adding that her conversations with her client were private.
Prosecutors also declined to comment. A friend of the family, Ray Traster, said he too has heard that Fisher spoke to authorities, but Traster did not know what Fisher had said or whether he had first been advised of his rights.
