The Newport Dukes rallied from an early deficit to beat Sacramento, 24-20, in a World TeamTennis match between undefeated teams Friday in Sacramento.
“We started slowly,” Dukes’ Coach Greg Patton said. “It was like we got on the wrong flight, then all of sudden we realized we were going to Tijuana when we wanted to go north. So we turned the train around.”
The Dukes trailed, 6-2, before coming back. Newport Beach improves to 6-0 and Sacramento is 5-1.
