Hawaiian Air Chairman Quits: John A. Ueberroth has resigned as chairman of Hawaiian Airlines and its parent corporation. No reason was given for Ueberroth’s departure, but the company said his resignation will allow recently appointed President Bruce R. Nobles to complete the airline’s financial restructuring. Ueberroth is the youngest brother of former Rebuild L.A. Co-chairman Peter Ueberroth, who engineered the leveraged buyout of the Honolulu-based carrier in 1989.
