Malibu : Planning Panel Delayed
The Malibu City Council on Monday decided against forming a Planning Commission to hear planning matters until the General Plan Task Force has completed its work. Instead, the council agreed to dedicate one meeting a month for hearing appeals of Planning Department decisions.
The task force has been working since last year to draw up the city’s master plan, which includes drawing up land-use designations. The plan will be presented to the community at workshops on Aug. 5 and 7, and is expected to come before the council in a final draft in November.
