LOS ANGELES COUNTY : Sheriff Block Expected to Leave Hospital Today
A Sheriff’s Department spokesman said that Sheriff Sherman Block “is doing better” but remains in the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center at USC after suffering an adverse reaction to medication he was given for lymphatic cancer.
The spokesman said Block would probably be released today. The sheriff, 68, underwent an initial chemotherapy treatment last week and re-entered the hospital Monday.
