Top Magazines: Orange County is home to two of the nation’s top-grossing magazines, according to a recent ranking by Advertising Age magazine. The two are Entrepreneur in Irvine and Cycle World in Newport Beach.
Entrepreneur reported gross revenue of $34.8 million for 1992, with a paid circulation of 342,169. Revenue was up 14.7% over the previous year, the magazine told Ad Age. It was number No. 131 on the list.
Cycle World, which reported a paid circulation of 359,489, said its 1992 gross revenue was $19 million--earning it the ranking of 233 on the list.
