Police Identify 22-Year-Old Man Killed in Anaheim
ANAHEIM — Police on Tuesday identified a 22-year-old man who died after he was shot several times in the chest and then drove his car into a storefront.
Officers found Filiberto Cordova Perez of Colima, Mexico, on Monday in a car which had crashed through the front of a business in the 1200 block of East Lincoln Avenue.
Police said Perez was sitting in the car with another man parked at the rear of a nearby shopping center when he was accosted by several people who opened fire. Perez attempted to drive away but crashed into the storefront.
Perez’s passenger, whom police refused to identify, was not injured, Lt. Vince Howard said.
Police on Tuesday said they had not made any arrests in the shooting and did not know the motive.
