Survival Aid: When the going gets tough, the tough go to trade shows.
About 600 real estate executives have paid to attend the Institute of Real Estate’s second annual “Invest in Success” management conference Tuesday, up from the 400 who attended last year, show officials said.
One reason for the increase is an effort to expand and diversify the one-day trade show beyond the property management field, said event co-chairwoman Jana Turner.
“Everybody is doing anything to survive, so you have different players and different services servicing different needs,” said Turner, also regional president for Koll Management Services’ Orange County operations.
“We have expanded beyond property management to building owners, real estate advisory groups, financial institutions and asset management players. We’ve also expanded our audience from Orange County into Riverside, San Bernardino and Los Angeles.”
The conference will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel. The registration fee is $149. For more information, call (800) 321-6338.
