Muster Wins Second Consecutive Title

GENOA, Italy — Top-seeded Thomas Muster of Austria defeated Sweden’s Magnus Gustafsson to win the $300,000 IP Cup, Muster’s second consecutive tournament title, on Sunday.
He took 1 hour 45 minutes to defeat the third-seeded Swede, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4.
Gustafsson nearly won the first set, breaking Muster and gaining five set points, four of which Gustafsson lost on errors. Muster then held on to win the tiebreaker.
