POKEY OF CHOICE: It isn’t often that jailers get to hear “guests” express delight to be there, but that was the experience Friday for sheriff’s deputies who run the Mira Loma jail in the Antelope Valley. “Good to be back,” exulted some returning inmates, briefly shipped to other jails in a budget dispute (B1). . . . A prisoner’s explanation: “If you want to do your time in peace, this is the place to go. There is too much tension everywhere else.”
