Pan African Art, a Long Beach arts and educational organization, is sponsoring the “Graffiti, Tagger & Mural Expo” Saturday at Leimert Park in Los Angeles.
The purpose of the Expo is to provide a constructive forum of artistic expression for those 5 to 27.
More than 80 participants have produced murals dealing with the theme of violence--domestic, gang, environmental and other types--an Expo spokesman said.
The participants also submitted research papers exploring solutions to violence.
Ribbons and cash prizes will be awarded during the Expo, which will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Leimert Park is at Crenshaw Boulevard and 43rd Place.
