Rep. Maxine Waters
Rep. Waters’ unseemly and false criticism of Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley’s leadership and tenure was inconsistent with his record and contributions to Los Angeles. In his 20 years in office, Tom Bradley has changed the face of Los Angeles, served as a role model to millions of people, not only here in Los Angeles, but across the country, and has been a dedicated, skillful and innovative mayor of all its people. If Waters can achieve during the course of her public life one-tenth of what Bradley has, she, too, may one day consider herself a successful politician. In the interim, cheap shots at a great man are not required or necessary.
