Cochrane Chase and James L. Doti have joined the board of directors of UniCare Financial Corp. in Irvine, succeeding two retiring directors, Robert L. Cooper and Ellison L. Hazard. Chase, a retired advertising executive, was chairman of the board of ACR-CCL (formerly Cochrane, Chase, Livingston & Co.). Doti is the president of Chapman University and a professor of economics at the university. UniCare Financial Corp.’s primary subsidiary, UniCare Insurance Co., is an underwriter of workers’ compensation insurance in California.
